Primorsko is situated on a small peninsula between the Stamopolo and the Diavolski (Devil's) bays. The history and culture of the town is closely linked to the Thracians, their concepts and beliefs. Four sanctuaries, twelve dolmens and over ten hill necropolises have been discovered here. The most remarkable of all monuments is Beglik Tash sanctuary, which embodied the cult of the Thracians to the sun. A sanctuary discovered in 2003 is said to be the earliest dated Thracian sanctuary in South-Eastern Thrace and the Black Sea coast known to this moment. The ceramic utensils since ancient times, show communication between the native people and the peoples from the island of Crete, Troy and Egypt even in the 3rd c. BC. The sanctuary relates to the Mother God cult. The big rocks and stones of the sanctuary are partially hewed and arranged in unique forms.
Ancient ruins of Azine Fortress, Thracians dolmens dated from the 6th c. BC and the remains of the pre-Christian chapel Sv. Paraskeva (St. Paraskeva) are places of interest.
