The town of Obzor is situated in the middle way between the towns Varna and Bourgas and is 6 km to the south of the town of Byala. Its population is slightly over 2000 people. It lies on the ridges of the Balkan Mountains that slope towards the Black Sea and along the Dvoynitsa River.          Obzor is very old Romans town also built up as fortress and became a part of the lands of a boyar, named Karvun. Obzor was a fortified trading centre during the Roman times. In the Middle Ages the settlement  was famous to the Bulgarian people as Kozyak.  Nowadays, in the small park of the modern town, remains of tiges, capitals and statues of the Roman Jupiter`s temple are exposed.The columns of the Temple of Jupiter can be seen, as well.

           Obzor is a sea resort, its beach is over 7 km long, cover by golden sand. The beach line here is one of the largest one on the Black Sea coast. The shore is low and sandy with a fully open horizon to the east.
